Ocean Reach – A new luxury holiday venue in development, with 360° panoramic views including Bigbury Bay and Burgh Island, Cornwall and Dartmoor…..

‘Ocean Reach’ has been developed on the site previously known as ‘Port Light’, which Sean and Hazel Hassall have owned since 1991. They are passionate about the site on Bolberry Down and have created Ocean Reach which has been designed and built to the highest industry standards in  an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

They have now realised their vision of creating quality holiday properties and a new, improved restaurant on this special site.

The site new site of Ocean Reach boasts the addition of 7 holiday homes with  2 parking spaces, garage, patios and balconies. The properties have sea views from all of the windows.

Phase 2 will shortly start with a finish date of early summer 2018. This will not effect the enjoyment of current residents or restaurant guests.

This phase will consist of 2 x 3 bedroom houses and 1 x 2 bedroom house. All have amazing views towards Burgh Island, Cornwall and the English Channel.

They will be sold on a 999 year lease with the only stipulation being that owners must have another address which is their primary residence.

The restaurant has been relocated and benefits from a southerly aspect. It is glass fronted to optimise the extensive sea views. The restaurant has been named ‘Oceans’.

Local firm WM Construction SW Ltd have now completed the major phase some 4 months ahead of programme.

This is a once in a lifetime limited opportunity to acquire a fantastic property with breath-taking views on the South Hams Coastline.

Planning conditions stipulate that the owners of the cottages have to have another address which is their primary residence.

Should owners wish to let out their holiday properties then owning a holiday investment property means that not only do you enjoy the benefit of owning a holiday home but also the benefit of acquiring revenue from lettings.

There is the option for owners that the letting and management of the cottages will be operated through Sean and Hazel Hassall, providing trouble free lettings for owners.

The estimated net profit on renting a two bedroom property is £26k based on using Sean & Hazels present business model adopted at their highly successful Bolberry Farm Cottages.

Sean and Hazel have run Port Light Hotel and Restaurant on the site since 1991 and have a wealth of tourism experience coupled with personal hospitality. The properties will be maintained to a high standard providing owners with carefree holidays and lettings.

A considerable amount of time has been taken on the design, marketing and concept of Ocean Reach.

The concept of self-catering lettings has been tried and tested at their highly successful Boberry Farm Cottages to ensure maximum occupancy and smooth running from day one.
